Mr. Practical vs Mrs. Dreamer

I'm so excited to be heading to London tomorrow.  As every trip Mr Silent and myself end up having heated debates about the simple things in life...shoes and suitcases...

Mr Silent, who usually proves me wrong time and time again, is trying to convince me to leave my pretty shoes here while I run around the wonderful shops of London in my scruffy old, waterproof and comfortable boots....'sacrilege!!!'

My head says he's right but my heart can't bear the idea of  walking into Browns or Liberty in my everyday walking shoes........ohhhh the dilemma.....

I probably will hide my pretty pair in the bag and before I turn the corner on to South Molton Street I'll change...

Have a lovely weekend... will report on my adventures on Monday

You’re right to pack the pretty shoes – the experience would be diluted if your mental image of yourself weren’t right. My husband quells my old-fashioned leather suitcase dreams with practicality as well. And I seem to be the owner of one of your lovely scarves and am ever so pleased!

If the soles of your beautiful shoes never meet the streets of London, it matters not. It only matters that they’ve accompanied you there. Have fun.

Ahhh – I think this is one of those times when you can, and should, have both!! Stand your ground Mrs Dreamer!
